MELATRONIX are Elad Magdasi & Mathias Weber.
Connected in love and music, Elad and Mathias met on a dancefloor, and over the last decade began to give back to the source which gave so much to them.
As founders of the Front Left label, MELATRONIX have sought and curated sounds from artists that offer a no frills sound, made specifically for those posting up at the front of every dancefloor.
So far the label released 8 records and several digital releases as well.
Between the two, there have been various releases on Front Left and many other labels like KEY Vinyl, Anagram, KAOS & more.
With Mathias always being focused on A&R efforts of the label, we are recently seeing him show up more on the front lines as a producer
The duo are hosting a Front Left Showcase three times a year at HÖR, where they get to invite other artists as well, supporting the label and the local scene.
MELATRONIX is short for ‘Mathias Elad Electronic Tracks’.
The inspiration for the name came from some of their favorite duos from the 90s-2000 like Justice, The Chemical Brothers, DIGITALISM & The Presets. Those artists exposed them to electronic music and eventually to techno. It is a tribute to that electronic era and the unique bond those duos shared.
Their musical style focuses on driving, uplifting, loopy at times, oldskool, groovy techno. To that, they add sparks of acid and trance as well.
As of now the duo is working on their first solo EP as MELATRONIX.
Find them touring in Germany and Europe with their drum machine (RD9), which they perform with during their DJ sets.
